Garrett County Historical Museum

The Garrett County Historical Museum, located in Oakland, has been a long time favorite for local history buffs. Opening in 1960, it features ten exhibition rooms highlighting life in Western Maryland and Garrett County over the past 200 years.

From the B&O Railroad to Mountain Chautauqua to the North Branch of the Potomac River, the museum will answer any questions you have about Garrett County.
