2025 Autumn Glory Kick-Off Reception & Dinner

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce invites you to the Kick-Off Reception & Dinner for the 58th Annual Autumn Glory Festival at the McHenry Lodge at Wisp Resort on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, presented by Garrett Regional Medical Center, a proud partner of WVU Medicine.

Enjoy the Cocktail Hour, sponsored by Budget Charters, Inc., Clear Mountain Bank, and Silver Tree Marine, where you’ll meet this year’s Autumn Glory King, Shane Sisler, and Queen, Ava Witt. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on a one-of-a-kind canvas featuring the official Autumn Glory Photo, sponsored by David Jochynek State Farm and M&T Bank.

We’ll also celebrate the winner of the 2025 Golden Ambassador Award, sponsored by The Garrett County Republican and Morin Aviation, while enjoying fall-inspired décor and centerpieces provided by Middletown Valley Bank and Mlend.

Following dinner and the evening program, the celebration continues with live entertainment and dancing courtesy of Usource, LLC.

Autumn Glory Buntings Available

It's that time of year again to start planning for Autumn Glory. Autumn Glory Buntings are for sale at the Chamber at a cost of $100 and include the center gold Autumn Glory Banner and two red, white, and blue buntings. Ribbon Cutting - Harvest House

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Garrett County Department of Business Development, was proud to host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, September 26, to celebrate the grand opening of Harvest House Farm, Bistro & Bar in Friendsville. Owners Darryl Glotfelty and Haeli Gustafson were presented with a First Dollar of Profit Certificate as local leaders, including Delegate Jim Hinebaugh, Commissioners Paul Edwards and Larry Tichnell, and Chamber President Nick Sharps, joined Chamber Diplomats to welcome this exciting new business to the community.

Harvest House is more than a restaurant — it’s a vibrant farm café and social hub that blends locally sourced, farm-fresh dining with craft cocktails, rotating beer selections, wine, and even an on-site microgreen growing operation. Guests can enjoy creative dishes like super salads, tacos, paninis, and more, along with weekend brunch and specialty coffee drinks. Located at 2132 Friendsville Road, Harvest House is open Thursday through Saturday evenings with weekend brunch service. Date Changes for the 2025 Autumn Glory Craft & Gift Sale!

The 2025 Autumn Glory Craft & Gift Sale will be here before you know it so, please note the new dates and times. The show is now Friday, October 10^th from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday, October 11^th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Vendors will be in the Ag Heritage Hall and, this year, the show has expanded to include additional vendors in the 4-H building behind the Ag Heritage Hall. Keep an eye out for even more exciting additions as well! Refreshments will be on sale by the North Glade 4-H Club for attendees and there is no price for admission to the event. This event is sponsored by BILT Construction and The KW Collective!

LUNCH N LEARN: Create With Confindence: Canva 101

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce invites you to enjoy a light lunch while you learn about Canva with Stephanie Walsh, Executive Assistant & Marketing Coordinator at Mountain Laurel Medical Center on October 21, 2025 at 12:00pm at the Visitors Center!

Topics covered in this Canva Lunch & Learn will include navigating the Canva dashboard, choosing a template, Canva tools & features, setting up your brand kit, tips & tricks, and how to share and download your design!

Stephanie Walsh graduated from Virginia Tech in 2017 with a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management. In 2018, she moved to Garrett County with her husband Brendan and their dog Janie. Stephanie is the Executive Assistant and Marketing Coordinator at Mountain Laurel Medical Center and is responsible for managing all of Mountain Laurel's digital and print advertising, including social media, newspaper, radio, billboard, website, and more. Stephanie creates a majority of Mountain Laurel's marketing materials through the Canva platform and is excited to teach others how to best utilize it for their business and personal needs.

Are you interested in hosting a Business After Hours in 2026? Any member business that wishes to be considered can download the host application form HERE. The Chamber reimburses 50% of all ticket sales to the host! The form must be completed and returned to the Chamber by COB November 14, 2025. You can mail the completed form to Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, 15 Visitors Center Drive, McHenry MD, 21541. You can also scan the form and email it to holly@garrettchamber.com or fax it to 301-334-8073.
