The elements are indeed featured in this spectacular photograph, taken on the shore of Deep Creek Lake just before this most recent snow, when the days were snowless but frigid, and the single-digit temps kept the waterway frozen hard as stone. Deep Creek Dunk a Success!

Regardless of the damper that the weather put on the situation, the Deep Creek Dunk was a tremendous success! Here are some photos from the dunk, by Lori Hill, a Garrett County resident. In between winter storms at Deep Creek Lake

I had some running around to do today at the lake, and took a photos of the frozen views from Sunset Ridge community. You can tell from one of these photos that the slight difference in elevation of the ridges makes a huge difference in terms of ice accumulation.
